Happy Valentine’s Day

I know…Valentine’s Day is an over-commercialized holiday that can make you feel guilty for not showering your loved one with gifts. Love should be celebrated everyday, not just on February 14th, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spoil your loved one a little extra this month.

Whether it’s a fancy dinner for two at home or Thai takeout because you’re a last minute planner, you can make the day special within the comfort of your own haven. This year, I am suggesting making it a family affair with the kiddos, pooches, kitties, etc.. The whole “Kit & Kaboodle”!

We need to be inspired to spend the evening at home (its often inclement weather), so it should be a time to slow down and appreciate the love we have immediately around us.
Plus, our current situation has us on a love lockdown.

Don’t have a Valentine?, A weary heart?? Keep your love alive and celebrate with friends, your dog, or a good book.
Pamper yourself a little bit with a bottle of your favorite wine or champagne.

*PANTONE pastel palettes soften the mood.

Design Trend

Paint the ceiling.

A painted ceiling is classy beyond belief and allows you to keep your walls white without making your room feel like a blank space.
Alternatively, you could wallpaper the ceiling and paint the walls a coordinating color.
